So Why?

Answers to common questions about So Why?.
My reminders aren't arriving.
Check that notifications are allowed: Settings → Notifications → So Why?, with Allow Notifications on and Lock Screen enabled, since answering from the Lock Screen depends on it. Then check that a Focus mode or Scheduled Summary isn't holding them back, and that the habit has a schedule for today. Reminders are scheduled by iOS on your device, so they work offline.
My habits don't appear on my other device.
Sync runs through your own private iCloud, so both devices need to be signed in to thesame Apple Account, with iCloud Drive turned on (Settings → your name → iCloud) and So Why? allowed to use iCloud there. It then needs a network connection and a moment to catch up: open the app on both devices and give it a few seconds.
How do I cancel a subscription?
In your Apple Account settings: Settings → your name → Subscriptions, then turn off auto-renew for So Why?. Do it at least 24 hours before the current period ends, otherwise the next period is already charged. Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so only you can cancel one, through your Apple Account.
How do I erase everything?
Open Profile and tap Erase All Data. That removes everything from this device and from your iCloud, on every device signed in to the same Apple Account. It can't be undone. There is no copy on our side, so nothing else needs to be deleted.
I said I didn't do it. Did I just lose my streak?
No. Answering honestly that you didn't do something, and writing why, keeps your streak intact. That's deliberate: the app is built around the reason, not around a perfect record.
I paid, but premium isn't unlocked.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with, then open the purchase screen and tap Restore Purchases. If it still doesn't unlock, email us.
What is the weekly retro?
Once a week the app gathers the reasons you wrote that week and shows them together, so you can read them in one sitting and see the pattern behind them. It stays on your device like everything else.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds. Go toreportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find So Why? and request the refund there.
The privacy policy explains what the app stores and why none of it reaches us. The terms of use cover the licence and the subscription terms.
