Answers to common questions about Count & Track.
My tap didn't register, or the count looks wrong.
Each tap adds one entry with a timestamp. If a tap seems missing, check the event log: the entry is usually there. If you tapped by accident, shake the device to undo the most recent entry.
Shake to undo isn't doing anything.
Shake undo removes the last entry only. It needs a firm shake, and does nothing if there are no entries left. If Shake to Undo is turned off system-wide (Settings → Accessibility → Touch), turn it back on.
Entries from Apple Watch don't show up on my iPhone.
The watch syncs directly with the paired iPhone. Keep both nearby with Bluetooth on, and open Count & Track on the iPhone. Entries logged while the phone was out of reach sync once they're connected again.
How does the purchase work?
Count & Track starts with a 7-day trial. The full version is a one-time purchase: pay once and keep it.
I paid, but the app still shows the trial.
The full version belongs to your Apple Account. Open the purchase screen and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.
Is my data backed up?
Your counts and history are stored on the device and included in your iCloud Backup or encrypted Finder backup. There is no cloud sync of its own, so nothing is kept on a server.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds. Go toreportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find Count & Track and request the refund there.
What is a median interval?
An interval is the time between two entries in a row. Count & Track shows the median interval rather than the average.
The average is the total time divided by the number of gaps, so a single unusual gap throws it off. Count something regularly for a week, then leave it alone for ten days, and the average jumps even though your normal rhythm never changed.
The median is the middle value: line up every interval from shortest to longest and take the one in the middle. Half your gaps are shorter, half are longer. One long pause doesn't drag it around, so it describes your typical spacing better than the average does.
